About

The Jim Parks Band is one of the most versatile groups on the music circuit today. Jim “Dawg” and the guys are best known for their ability to perform various musical styles with ease and excellence. They can switch gears in an instant delivering what audiences want to hear from the haunting sound of Jim’s slide guitar, to classic rock of the Allman Brothers, Motown, funk, and country.

These exceptionally talented musicians have entertained audiences throughout the southeast. The group performs at festivals, bike rallies, conventions, corporate functions, nightclubs, wedding receptions and just about any type of special event imaginable.

Jim “Dawg” is an extremely dedicated musician who has shared the stage with legends such as Percy Sledge, Keith Whitley, Vern Gosdin, The Platters, and the Coasters.  Jim has opened shows for greats such as Randy Travis, The Allman Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, Three Dog Night and many others. Jim and the band took the stage for five seasons at Six Flags over Georgia, they have played the National Shrimp Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama, The Heritage Day Festival and numerous Harley Davidson and BMW State Motorcycle Rallies. They have also played the famous Lucy Buffets’s LuLu’s at Homeport Marina in Gulf Shores, Talladega Superspeedway and Jim has played the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville as a sideman as well as a solo artist.

Whether you need a high energy meeting opener, an after-dinner show, an on going show to build traffic (trade shows, conventions, theme parks, theme hotels), or just a party band the possibilities are endless.  The Jim Parks Band will rock your event from the very first note to the last.
